Announcement – Electrical Repair Consolidation

Posted by Martin Rudolph

Consolidation and Improvement of Laron Electrical Rotating Apparatus Repair Services

In an effort to provide better service to our electric motor repair customers and the southwest market, Laron has made the strategic decision to upgrade and consolidate electrical rotating apparatus repair capabilities in our Laron Phoenix location. Phoenix, with its full capacity machine shop, will expand its motor repair capabilities with the commission of a 9 foot VPI system (the largest capacity tank in the region) and will add substantial large motor testing capability (up to 13.8KV).

Laron Phoenix has also implemented a digital “tablet driven” Motor Repair Process that formalizes and integrates actual work on the floor with the development of detailed and well-defined motor condition reporting. The new system will help to ensure Laron’s Motor Repairs are fully compliant with the EASA Standard AR-100-2015 Recommended Practice for the Repair of Rotating Electric Apparatus. These improvements are required to meet comprehensive standards for motor repair quality from IEEE, ANSI, ABMA, NEMA, ISO, IEC and UL, as well as to address the documentation needs of our valued customers. We invite you to visit our Phoenix shop to see this process, first hand, and meet our seasoned motor repair and engineering staff.

To provide this focus, Laron will be moving electrical apparatus repair services and personnel from our Tucson facility to Phoenix in a seamless and non-disruptive manner. The Laron New Equipment Sales and warehouse operations, as well as the Tucson field service operations, will continue to operate out of the Laron Tucson facility.

We appreciate the long-standing relationship we have with our customers and we look forward to better serving all of your electric motor and industrial service needs.
